Our project aims to identify the primary sources of the philosophical teaching of the Chilean colonial era, in order to gradually recover and (re) build the corpus of the discipline.
This will allow the development of new research in this area, which -with few exceptions- still is not investigated sufficiently. Thus, for example:

the contents of the different manuscript courses kept in the national archives can be analyzed and systematized.

the controversies and doctrinal disputes between the different philosophical currents should be studied.
-
the biographical and academic profiles of the professors of the time should be elaborate and their philosophical works (re) build.
-
the authorship of the still "anonymous" works should be identified.
-
and finally, the American intellectual context in which they exercised their teaching work should be characterized.
In order to make available the necessary material for this, we will share here the product of our investigations:
-
the compendiums of the works preserved in the archives.
-
the transcriptions and translations of relevant passages into Spanish.
-
the tables of contents of the works.
-
the preliminary schemes of particular topics of the discipline
-
and different articles and studies of interest.
Nuestro proyecto pretende identificar las fuentes primarias de la enseñanza filosófica de la época colonial chilena, de manera de recuperar y (re)construir paulatinamente el corpus de la disciplina.
Lo anterior permitirá el desarrollo de nuevas investigaciones en esta área, la que -salvo contadas excepciones- se encuentra aún en penumbra. Así, por ejemplo, se podrán analizar y sistematizar los contenidos de los diferentes cursos manuscritos conservados en los archivos nacionales; estudiar las controversias y disputas doctrinales entre las distintas corrientes filosóficas; elaborar los perfiles biográficos y académicos de los profesores de la época y (re)construir sus opera philosophica; identificar la autoría de las obras aún "anónimas"; y, en fin, caracterizar el contexto intelectual americano en el que ejercieron su labor docente.
Con la finalidad de poner a disposición el material necesario para ello, compartiremos aquí el producto de nuestras investigaciones: compendios de las obras conservadas en los archivos; transcripciones y traducciones al castellano de pasajes relevantes; tablas de contenidos de las obras; esquemas preliminares de temáticas particulares de la disciplina; y distintos artículos y estudios de interés.
